Emitter: Advanced Tab
This tab contains advanced options for the emitter.
By default the Emitter is multithreaded. Occasionally this may lead to problems. Normally you should leave this checked, but if unexplained errors occur, you can try disabling threading.
This the seed for the random number generator used by the emitter. You can change this if you have more than one emitter in the scene or your emitters will all generate the same pattern of particles. (This may or may not be an issue for you.) This seed also affects many modifiers which use random numbers, so if you don't like the effects a modifier produces you can try altering this value.
